A special issue, New Concepts in Reproductive Health, is being announced as the fourth issue of the journal in 2020. We invite researchers of reproductive health from different disciplines to publish their results. Currently, the differences in the process of childbearing and other aspects of the reproductive health of women and men are becoming unprecedentedly great, varying from high-tech methods, such as in vitro fertilization and related techniques, to resorting to the most “natural” practices, such as natural childbirth. All these new aspects of reproduction, or procreation, of a person are comprehended by representatives of different disciplines from the perspectives of their fields of knowledge, which inevitably go beyond their natural science boundaries in mastering the socio-humanitarian problems of this process. In the planned issue of the journal, we are particularly interested in interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary approaches, the purpose of which is to comprehend and conceptualize the changes taking place in the terms and from the viewpoints of several academic disciplines, as well as the formation of a professional interdisciplinary language (discourse) to discuss various aspects of the new practices of childbirth and to form a community in a productive dialogue with all stakeholders in this process.

Articles that present the results of economic and demographic studies, for example, of the efficiency of reproductive technologies in the context of increasing national fertility, as well as concerning with the cost of such an increase in the context of various schemes of state and private financing of in vitro fertilization procedures, are of crucial importance in the context of the journal’s specialization.

We may also be interested, in a similar context, in other areas of reproductive health, including modern birth control practices and their understanding by representatives of different academic disciplines.
