Gendered Patterns in Modern Economies and Population Development
A special issue in 2026 will be devoted to gender studies in economics and demography. Both the macro and micro approaches to research are welcome. What is the difference between female and male employment? What are the reasons for the income gap between men and women? What does the family-work balance and time allocation on weekdays and weekends look like for women and men? How are women's incomes and education related to fertility? Who benefits more from getting married in terms of well-being? What are the determinants of differences in mortality by gender? What do we know about the feminization of processes and phenomena (f.e., migration, poverty)? Is the well-being of "female" and "male" households different? How much does domestic violence cost society? What is the contribution of women and men to the economy?
Manuscript submission deadline: May 10, 2026.
