Call for Papers. Special Issue on Population History and Historical Demography
Population and Economics Journal announces Call for Papers for a special issue on Population History and Historical Demography (No. 2/2022).
The guest editors of the issue are Alexandre Avdeev (Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, Paris, France; Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia) and Irina Troitskaya (Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia).
We invite you to submit articles, research notes and letters of communication covering the widest range of issues related to population history and historical demography:
— Theory and methodology in historical demography
— History of demographic science, data sources in historical demography
— Analysis of demographic processes and structures in the past (at micro and macro levels)
— Features of individual demographic behavior in historical population
— Population history: economic aspects
— Historical demography and social history: connections and parallels, intergenerational relationships, social mobility
— Historical demography and historical geography: settlement and migration in the past
— New methods in historical demography (genetic, climatic, epidemiological research, etc.)
Multidisciplinary (primarily at the intersection of historical demography and economics) and comparative intra- and intercountry research is especially welcome.
